and like it makes the lukewarm fucking response to this shit make sense bc these people genuinely thought that they were just sending people back to their country of origin like. oh okay so you didn’t believe us when we said we were getting detained and disappeared and killed. you just thought it was a kind of sad thing but ultimately not that bad. you really didn’t listen when we said this was going to start happening to everyone the government deems undesirable regardless of citizenship. right. of course you didn’t care.

Gotten a hotel to cancel a legal-aged porn star’s reservation

Gotten a venue to cancel a Playboy Bunny themed party - again, attended by only adults

Pressured the Breast Cancer Foundation to pull ads that they found too sexy

got ads for a sex doll company removed because they felt the dolls resembled children

Got a beer coozy that had pinups of adult women printed on them discontinued.

Got an H&M ad pulled for back to school clothes for saying “Turn Heads”

Got Tyler the Creator banned from performing in New Zealand

I’m still scrolling and I have yet to see a single instance of a real, living woman or girl being protected by any one of their actions. They have on multiple occasions punished real, adult women for the audacity to be naked in some capacity they find distasteful.

Adding to this that they have lobbied to get a real pedophile released AND supported Cuties, which objectified and exploited real living children.

My main point is not that you have to love any of the things above, you can even hate them and wish they didn’t exist. but they were able to dismantle the entire games industry and set a dark precedent regarding banks deciding who is morally good enough to spend money - and they aren’t even helping any real women or girls in the process.

i offered in my work’s group chat that i had over 100 free covid tests available and to message me if they wanted some. only one or two people did. however the next day i brought in 2 cases, 48 tests each, and they were literally all gone by end of day. i saw tons of people walking around w them and putting them in their bags, and several people came up to me and thanked me. more and more people at my work are masking daily as well.

if you didn’t know, right now we are in a delayed summer surge comparable to the delta wave (which preceded the 5-million-cases-a-day omicron wave of 2021, btw, so between that and RFK’s nonsense we are on track to an absolutely devastating winter). while you should not solely rely on the vaccine regardless, now that they’re becoming more expensive and difficult to acquire it’s more important than ever to utilize more immediate methods of prevention.

now is the time to mask again if you’ve stopped.

when more people resume masking, others are more willing to follow their example. just like all of the free tests were gone in a day once openly available, many people are still concerned about covid in private.

the best way to be community positive is by staying covid negative. avoid infection—wear a respirator!
